Re-upholstering a Vintage Chair: BEFORE & AFTER

Done! Tada! This chair is for sale -- name your price. It was chalk-painted, with metallic paint applied to the carved rosettes. The inside cushion was re-habilitated, fluffed up and made more cushion-y. A soft, embroidered, fabric in creams and pale blues and greens was cut, sewn, stretched and used to cover the new seat cushion. A delicate cream-colored braid trim was used to cover the tacks and to finish off the seat. It's an example of how easy it is to up-cycle a chair that otherwise might sit in an attic or garage, unused and neglected. I'm not against buying "new"; but, why not add character to a space by including some antique or vintage pieces that have been restored or re-upholstered?
