"Everyone deserves customized spaces and unique and special materials, finishes and furnishings. Interiors that work spatially better and that are aesthetically harmonious enhance everyday life. Art, nature, history and culture -- they all inspire me. But my clients inspire me the most."
-- Sharon Crockett, Allied ASID, Principal
As principal and founder of Crockettstudio, Sharon enjoys developing a warm, down-to-earth and professional rapport with each of her clients, and has over a decade of experience working in interior design in the NYC metro region. In working with architects, contractors and other collaborators on both residential and small commercial projects, her view is that kindness, patience and creativity -- integrity plus advocating for her clients -- all contribute to trust, good communication, efficiency and problem-solving. She'll work closely with you to bring to fruition whatever your interior design goals may be, from initial concepts and renderings to design drawings, materials and furnishings/fixtures sourcing to project management, and more, all with an eye to keeping within your planned design investment.
An allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers, Sharon serves on the Finance Committee of Manitoga/The Russel Wright Design Center, where she's currently a Design Circle member. With a degree in interior design from Parsons The New School for Design with honors and an MBA from Columbia University, Sharon previously worked in the securities industry and in historical interiors research. Prior to starting her own firm, she worked at TPG Architecture, Barabara Ostrom Associates and JIDK Interior + Furniture Design.
When not designing interiors, you can find her: hunting for new design resources and artisans to work with, traveling here and abroad, visiting museums, and (always): hiking, drawing, painting, writing, cooking, gardening and often just curling up with a good book.
